Sponsored by the City of Lexington in partnership with Boxerwood, this event will take place at Jordan's Point Park on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 10 AM to Noon. In case of rain, the date will move to the the following Saturday, September 27.
Participants will explore the Maury River ecosystem by catching water critters called macroinvertebrates. Then we will help the wildlife that calls the Maury River home by planting trees near the pavilions to prevent erosion. All supplies for both activities, including water boots and gardening gloves, will be provided although participants are welcome to wear water shoes or gardening gloves of their own if you prefer.
