Boxerwood Gardens: Nature Center and Woodland Garden

Boxerwood Nature Center & Woodland Garden

Munger Lodgefrontview

Our Welcome Center, located in Munger Lodge, was originally the home of Dr. Munger and his family, but now it houses a library, restrooms, and information about the garden and our education program.  You can also find maps of the garden, tree & birding information, material about our education program, scavenger hunt sheets, and much more! You might "run into" some instruction taking place in the living room.  That's OK -- sit awhile and listen!

The staff have offices in Munger or next door in the Education Office.  If you see any of us stuck inside on a beautiful day, PLEASE come in and rescue us and remind us why it is that we work at a gorgeous place like Boxerwood.

We even have wireless Internet access that reaches into the garden, so you can enjoy working on your computer in an unsurpassed setting!

Take a few minutes to check out the "Touch it Area."
Here you can feel snake skins and turtle shells, see a stuffed great horned owl and a red fox, identify nests, and view an amazing collection of birds' eggs.
