Munger Lodge hosts thousands of visitors every year. Most are here for a short time. Others, here for events, such as workshops and fieldtrips, will use the toilet and wash their hands. A few volunteer workers may even take showers and baths. Some will come for an event that includes food and food preparation requires lots of water. The staff uses Munger Lodge as their second home. The water that is used to keep the facility clean – washing windows, walls, floors, etc--goes down the drain. It would be irresponsible (and illegal) just to put it in or on the ground. Why would this would be “irresponsible?”
