DEER RESISTANT PLANTS

Remember: Deer resistant doesn’t mean deer proof.  If deer are hungry enough, they will eat anything.  The following plants are more resistant than most.  Deer will usually avoid plants with gray foliage, plants with narrow leaves, or plants that have an odd smell, such as herbs.  Almost all the ornamental grasses are deer-resistant.  The following abbreviation, spp., stands for species.
