Mission

Drawing upon the resources of Boxerwood Nature Center & Woodland Garden, the horticultural legacy of Robert S. Munger, MD (1911-1988), Boxerwood Education Association, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate and inspire people of all ages toward becoming successful and environmentally responsible stewards of the Earth.

Our Goals
1.  To develop and administer year-round activities, presentations, exhibits and special events designed to
bullet

encourage a closer relationship with one's self and nature

bullet

create an awareness of the beauty, diversity, complexity and fragility of nature's systems and

bullet

teach skills and behaviors needed to be effective stewards of the Earth.

2.  To demonstrate environmental stewardship in the care and use of our land in order to
bullet

preserve and maintain the various natural communities, habitats and the woodland garden.
